Chamakese Education Centre is a Pre‑k to grade 6 school operated on the Pelican Lake First Nation in north central Saskatchewan (Leoville, SK).

Chamakese Education Centre is looking for a Grade 4 Teacher.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities / Attributes

- Develop and monitor program workplans, objectives, and outcomes
- Ability to embed local First Nation culture into teaching practice
- Implement new methodologies and strategies to provide a creative, engaged, and inclusive classroom experience
- Tutor students




- Provide academic support to students
- Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences, workshops as directed
- Demonstrated ability to connect with children in a student‑centered learning environment in addition to having an interest or willingness to connect with students outside of the classroom
- Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, and extra‑curricular activities
- Be able to prepare students for further educational goals
- Participation in curriculum development as required
- Successful teaching experience or training
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and an ability to work in a team environment
