The parts produced are installed on fighterjets, bombers, rockets and space vehicles.Department SummaryThe Maintenance Engineering department supports this effort with a team of highly skilled Mechanical Engineers and Automation Engineers. This advanced team maintains and installs some of the industry's largest milling machines, autoclaves, NDI machines, and other such equipment. Our world-class milling machines are designed and built in-house, and this team is critical to their operation.Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Engineering Manager - Maintenance leads and develops the engineering teams that support maintenance operations in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing setting. This role is responsible for providing technical direction, driving process improvements, and ensuring equipment reliability to support production goals. The Engineering Manager - Maintenance will partner closely with maintenance, production, and quality teams to optimize performance, reduce downtime, and maintain compliance with aerospace industry standards.Lead the planning and execution of scheduled and reactive maintenance events (short- and long-term) across production and facilitiesOversee the development and implementation of Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) and Planned Maintenance (PM) procedures to maximize asset uptime and address unplanned failuresDirect and prioritize engineering support for equipment breakdowns, fault diagnosis, and resolution to minimize production downtimeProvide leadership and guidance to engineering and technical staff to ensure effective coordination of equipment modifications and repairs with minimal production impactManage, coach, and develop maintenance engineering teams, fostering technical growth, problem-solving skills, and career developmentApprove and guide the design, build,



or procurement of specialized components, fixtures, or parts to support maintenance repairs or equipment upgradesStay current with emerging equipment, technologies, and maintenance best practices, introducing improvements where beneficialMaintain an operational overview of production processes and facilities, collaborating with management to implement enhancements for optimal resultsEnsure compliance with safety regulations, 5S, AS9100, and Nadcap standards in all maintenance and engineering activitiesParticpate in vendor relationships for equipment, materials, and parts procurement, including, specification review, and capital equipment installation and commissioningIdentify and manage critical spare part requirements for new and existing equipment to reduce downtime risksEnsure accurate documentation and control of engineering drawings, records, revisions, and updatesPartner with Operations Managers to identify risks in the production process and lead mitigation strategiesReview and approve maintenance-related test procedures, results, and recommendations for changes to products or methodsDrive accountability for meeting deadlines, maintaining high performance under pressure, and ensuring responsiveness by the maintenance engineering teamPerform other related leadership duties as assigned.Basic QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredAbility to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, isometric drawings, work orders, written procedures, and other technical documentationAbility to read and interpret drawings, follow process instructions, and monitor machine controllersConsistent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workEffective verbal and written communication skills in EnglishPreferred QualificationsA bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Automation Engineering, or a similar field.Experience in robotics or automation.5+ years of engineering or maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment,



with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and equipment reliability.Detailed Wage InformationWage range for this role is between $90,000-$140,000, plusbenefits and eligibility for a discretionary bonus. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work and accessassignments.The range provided isJanicki'sestimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills and abilities.Shift AvailabilityDay Shift: Monday-Friday, 0600 - 1430.
