Plant Maintenance Worker

Tomlinson Environmental Services is seeking to hire a Plant Maintenance Worker for our Bantree Reclamation Facility. This position will require working Monday – Friday from 6:00AM to 3:00PM.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensure daily start-up and shut-down checklists are completed.
- Safe and efficient centrifuge operation.
- Monitor hardness levels in the processing tank.
- Document and execute all plant maintenance safely and efficiently
- Anticipate and prevent facility downtime.
- Maintain good housekeeping in and around the facility.
- Identify, document, and eliminate potential risks and hazards.
- Daily boiler blowdowns/maintenance.
- Physically demanding at times, involves lifting various objects
- Must be able to work alone and be self-motivated
- Basic understanding of pumping knowledge
- Perform snow removal in winter months

REQUIREMENTS

- 2-5 years of experience working in a plant maintenance role
- Valid Boiler Ticket preferred




- Plumbing experience would be an asset
- Good understanding of the plant operations
- Must be mechanically inclined

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The expected salary range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00 per hour. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

- Working in tight, awkward spaces – bending, crawling, twisting
- Working at heights – reaching, climbing
- Lifting objects up to approximately 50 pounds
- Will be exposed to dirt, dust, odors, noise, and weather extremes
- May be required to work nights or weekends
