What You’ll Learn & Do
You’ll start by working alongside our experienced technicians in the fire shop, and will gradually take on more responsibility as you build your skills.

Inspecting, testing, and servicing fire extinguishers;

Inspecting and testing fire hoses;

Servicing life-saving appliances;

Ensuring timely and quality completion of work orders;

Completing daily reports of completed work orders and activities;





Monitoring parts inventory and equipment maintenance requirements;

Following all safe work practices and safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job; and

Participating in on-call/call out emergency service as required.

All required PPE and access to calibrated meters/equipment

What You Bring

Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on technical work (automotive, heavy equipment, industrial, electrical, or similar backgrounds all translate well)

Strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to follow procedures

Curiosity and a willingness to learn — you ask questions and take pride in doing it right

Ability to lift, work on your feet, and use hand/power tools safely

Valid driver’s license

Nice to have (not required): coursework or experience in automotive, heavy equipment, industrial mechanic, electrical, or fire protection technology

Don’t have fire shop experience yet? That’s okay. If you bring the attitude, effort, and mechanical aptitude, we’ll teach you the rest.
