In this hands‑on role, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, analytical, and control systems within a continuous petrochemical manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position is ideal for a certified dual‑ticket technician who thrives in a safety‑driven, high‑reliability operation and enjoys solving complex technical challenges across both electrical and instrumentation disciplines. testing, and commissioning activitiesUse HART / TREX communicators, multimeters, meggers, pneumatic calibrators, and related toolsSafety, Compliance & Team CollaborationDemonstrate a strong commitment to EH&S, regulatory compliance, and safe work practicesParticipate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and incident investigations as requiredInterface effectively with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and external technical support teamsProvide technical support during turnarounds, outages, and plant upsetsContinuous Improvement & DocumentationMaintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using SAPContribute to plant reliability, asset integrity, and continuous improvement initiativesSupport training or technical assistance at other Canadian or U.S. facilities as neededRequired QualificationsDual Ticket Certification: Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician and Journeyperson Electrician (Red Seal required)Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License with clean driving recordAbility and willingness to work on‑call and overtime in a 24/7 operationPreferred Experience & SkillsIndustrial plant maintenance experience (petrochemical, chemical, oil & gas, power generation, or manufacturing environment preferred)Experience with Siemens DCS/PLC systems or other distributed control systemsStrong understanding of PLC logic and industrial automationProven troubleshooting, fault isolation, and problem‑solving capabilitiesProficiency using SAP PM, Microsoft Office, and industrial maintenance systemsStrong organizational, communication, and documentation skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary maintenance teamDemonstrated leadership, accountability, and safety‑focused mindsetWorking Conditions Continuous process manufacturing environment Exposure to plant operating conditions requiring appropriate PPE Occasional travel to other Canadian or U.S.
