Bilingual (French and English) Counsellor, Children’s Services
Full‑Time, Permanent
Location: Longlac, Ontario
Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week) w/ half lunch unpaid
Salary: $68K

Qualifications
Bilingual French and English spoken and written
Diploma or degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Social Services, Psychotherapy, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or a related discipline.
Education must support eligibility for registration with an applicable Ontario regulated professional college, such as OCSWSSW, CRPO, CNO, COTO, CPO, or CPSO.
Ability to actively engage with children, youth, parents, caregivers, and families in a compassionate, person‑centred, and professional manner.
Knowledge of evidence‑based and evidence‑informed counselling, assessment, treatment planning, and discharge planning practices for children, youth, and families.
Experience or strong understanding of clinical interventions, trauma‑informed care, mental health, developmental stages, family systems, and social determinants of health.
Ability to develop individualized goals, care plans, and safety plans based on client needs, strengths, and circumstances.
Strong understanding of confidentiality, PHIPA, documentation standards, and professional scope of practice.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and technology skills, including Microsoft Office/Outlook and electronic client record systems.
Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence, access to a reliable vehicle, and ability to travel as required.
