Job Details

The Manager of Logistics will be involved with all transportation modes relevant to cement. Cost management, logistical and equipment efficiencies will be a primary focus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Negotiate with railroads, truckers, railcar leasing companies, toll blending facilities, warehouses and transloaders.
- Work with and support customer service and region managers on any issues relating to above.
- Investigate where current terminals may be required and take lead role in launching them.
- Travel with Region Managers when needed for logistical support.
- Oversee management of FWC Northampton Terminal along with closely monitoring third party terminals that we utilize.
- Assist in arranging car repairs to be made at terminals and customer locations.
- Monitor and update terminal and freight costs for determining mill nets.
- When necessary, monitor rail service and work with railroad(s) to facilitate expedited switches and other problems that warrant priority.




- Maintain spreadsheet on US monthly cement imports by country, US location and price.
- Attend association logistic meetings when applicable.
- Submit monthly report recapping highlights of activities.
- Report to VP of Sales.

Qualifications and Skills

- Should have a degree concentrating in transportation and logistics or equivalent education. Should have at least three years of experience in logistics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
