Canada Post is hiring a temporary on-call Postal Clerk - Retail and Operations in Malartic, QC. This role offers exposure to both the retail counter and mail operations environments, with a variety of shifts including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends.Job Responsibilities:Perform a variety of sales/customer service activities to ensure complete customer satisfactionOperate a computer point of sale systemMaintain floor displaysConduct merchandising and inventory controlMaintain a high level of postal products, services and delivery knowledgeProcess financial transactions (cash, cheques, debit & credit card payments)Receive, sort, sequence and batch mail itemsOperate mail processing equipment (clearing jams, remove mail from sorting machines, etc.) where applicableTransport mail between floors/sections using rolling or motorized equipment, where applicableOperate a computer to key in data, when applicableReview mail items for address accuracy, proper postage,



etc.Be required to stand in one place for up to 3.5 hours at a timeExercise physical effort in the handling of mail items weighing up to 22.7 kilograms (50 lbs) and carrying mail items weighing up to 15.9 kilograms (35 lbs)Qualifications:Experience in customer service in a retail environment (required)Bilingual Imperative - English and French (BBBB)Sales experience is an assetExperience working in a production setting is an assetPhysical ability to stand for extended periods and handle items up to 22.7 kgAdditional Information:This position may be considered a Safety Sensitive position.
