Pursue a fulfilling role as a Youth Support Worker at PhoenixCenter. This casual position emphasizes support for at-risk youth and young adults in their journey to self-sufficiency.
In this position, you will be part of a dedicated team, primarily focusing on providing psychological and practical support using trauma-informed practices. As you interact with young clients aged 17-24, your work will aid them in their transition back into the community while ensuring their immediate needs are met comprehensively. The role calls for excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome youth and facilitate their entry into services
• Build and maintain trusting relationships with clients
• Organize recreational and life skills meetings
• Assist with essential day-to-day activities
• Monitor safety and cleanliness of the residence
Requirements:
• Minimum of Grade 12 education
• Community Social Service certification preferred
• One year of relevant experience required
• Valid driver’s license with clear abstract
• First Aid certification is strongly preferred
