What You’ll Do
Gyptech is seeking a Welder/Fitter to join our team. Your role will involve:
Reading & interpreting blueprint drawings & specifications to develop a plan to layout, fit and weld components
Following all CWB approved welding procedures for prepping and welding mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
Developing templates and other work aids to hold and align parts
Adequately prepping and inspecting all materials and welds
Using and maintaining tools, machinery, material-handling and safety equipment
Helping with assembling subcomponents and components
This position is based out of our manufacturing facility in Oakville. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm with some overtime required.
What You Offer
Fitter-Welder Trade Certificate (437A) with experience in a manufacturing plant is an asset
Able to weld in all positions using GMAW, GTAW and FCAW
Bridge crane experience is an asset
Solid communication skills - Fluent in English
Ability to read AutoCAD and Inventor prints
Must work well independently and within a team environment
Ability to organize work under project deadline constraints
Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities
Able to lift up to 50lbs
Must possess a valid driver’s license
