Join the Vancouver School Board as a Library Systems Coordinator and support educational equity through strategic resource management. This role is fully in-person and focuses on improving access for visually impaired students.
In this position, you will provide essential technical and resource support to the Provincial Resource Centre for the Visually Impaired. Your responsibilities will include maintaining library databases, liaising with programmers, and guiding library staff and project teams, all while ensuring the integrity and accessibility of crucial educational materials.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accuracy of PRCVI library systems
• Troubleshoot and improve database functionalities
• Assign work and instruct staff on projects
• Manage braille transcription assignments and processes
• Coordinate production of alternate format educational materials
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 with four years of post-secondary training
• Minimum of five years in library information management
• Advanced understanding of library acquisitions and systems
• Robust project management experience
• Excellent analytical and data skills
