Manager, Events and Community Engagement
The Manager, Events and Community Engagement will lead and execute the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada’s event portfolio and strengthen our corporate sponsorships programme. This role is responsible for fundraising growth through events, particularly our digital peer-to-peer fundraising event, known as the Jane Goodall Hike for Hope.

About Jane Goodall Institute of Canada:
The Jane Goodall Institute of Canada (JGIC) is where hope meets action. We are amplifying community-led initiatives to create a world where animals, people, and the environment all thrive together.

Our impact is global: we are actively working with communities to protect and restore critical chimpanzee habitats across five African nations (Senegal, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, and Republic of Congo), preserving these incredible ecosystems for future generations. Here in Canada, we support Indigenous-led conservation initiatives that protect ancestral territories. Through Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots movement, we are supporting the next generation of conservation leaders, empowering young changemakers from coast-to-coast-to-coast to ignite grassroots action in their own backyard.

Every project, every partnership, and every young activist we inspire creates ripple effects that transform communities and ecosystems worldwide.

Our Values:
Relationships First - build reciprocal, respectful partnerships

Hope in Action - harness the power of hope to inspire change

Always Evolving - embrace continuous learning and courageous questioning

Tapestry of Life - honour the interconnectedness of all living things
