Monroe Group is looking for a Regional Compliance & Legal Coordinator in our Denver office. This is a hybrid position: three days in the office, two remote.

Job Summary
The Regulatory Compliance & Legal Coordinator supports the Compliance and Legal teams in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating Monroe Group’s regulatory and ownership requirements.
Essential Functions
The coordinator role will provide administrative support and otherwise assist team members with tracking federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and monitoring the Company’s operations, including auditing of policies, procedures, and controls to ensure they conform with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and Monroe Group standards.
The coordinator role will be tasked with utilizing existing procedures and tools and assist with developing new procedures to track reporting requirements, input data, and compile responses to regulatory agencies and financing partners.
Work collaboratively with Compliance team members, Legal, Operations, other corporate departments, and external regulatory agencies to support efficient coordination and execution of compliance-related activities.
Track regulatory obligations for ownership entities and managed assets, including recurring filings, registrations, certifications, and documentation requirements with HUD and other federal, state, and local agencies.
Prepare, organize, and maintain regulatory and corporate records, including entity information, governing documents, ownership and agent certifications, and submission support materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate the collection, review, and routing of documents, signatures, and supporting exhibits needed for regulatory submissions, financing partner requests,
and legal or compliance matters affecting ownership entities.
Monitor regulatory correspondence, agency notices, and reporting deadlines; elevate issues as appropriate and support the timely preparation of complete and accurate responses.
Assist the Compliance and Legal teams with contract administration, regulatory agreement tracking, due diligence support, and maintenance of organized records for audits, inspections, transactions, and special projects.
Tasks And Duties Include
Update and monitor SAM.gov/UEI registrations and Secure Systems access.
Coordinate the collection of required signatures for regulatory, legal, and corporate documents.
Assist with contract administration and related document tracking.
Prepare compliance lease packets and supporting documentation, as needed.
Prepare annual W-9 forms and related supporting documentation.
Maintain current government agency contact information and an internal tracking database.
Prepare and file annual 8703s, AOCs, and management agent certifications, including tracking and calculation support.
Monitor the Compliance Department reporting task manager and follow-up on outstanding items.
Monitor the compliance mailbox and route correspondence, as appropriate.
Prepare and file annual business entity reports.
Other duties and tasks assigned.

EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years legal or corporate compliance experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in affordable housing, multifamily housing, or real estate compliance
Experience working in a real estate, corporate governance and records, and/or contract administration role
Experience supporting regulatory filings, corporate records, or legal documentation
Familiarity with HUD programs, ownership entity structures, and management agent documentation
Experience tracking reporting deadlines, agency correspondence, and required submissions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience working with document management systems, compliance databases, or government reporting portals
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Physical Demands
Employee must be able to lift at least 5 lbs. and up to 40 lbs.
Employee will frequently utilize their hands and fingers
Employee will be frequently required to sit and occasionally stand or walk
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee will be exposed to an indoor office. The noise level is typically varying.
Hybrid schedule available
Salary Description
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00
