Responsibilities:

Partner closely with the executive team and business to provide financial KPIs and action items.

Manage the financial health of the organization, including all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with auditors, bank loans, and governments.

Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, A&P; expense management, cash flow, and reporting.

Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations, including:

Month and end-of-year process

Accounts payable/receivable/collections

General ledger

Payroll

Treasury, budgeting

Cash forecasting

Revenue and expenditure variance analysis

Capital assets reconciliations

Intercompany transactions

Bank Loan & Credit Facility

Tax Compliance & Audits

Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.

Implement efficient accounting practices, systems, and procedures.





Build and support an accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an workplace of trust and productivity.

Organizational Structure:

Reports directly to the CEO

Existing Finance lead transitioning out

Manages 4 direct reports with a total accounting team of 8 staff

Has the support of a Fractional CFO, automation, and ERP experts

Long-Term Objectives:
Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management.

Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures.

Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.

Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action.

Improve data-input efficiency through innovative process development.

Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies, including building & training employees, upgrading ERP, and streamlining accounting work processes.

Candidate Profile:

Prior experience as Senior Controller / Finance Director.

Willing to be hands-on in a fast-paced environment to enhance the finance function.

Multi-entity or intercompany environments.

ERP experience with Microsoft Business Central is considered an asset.

Audit and compliance experience preferred.

Strong communication skills across both operational and executive teams.

Distribution, wholesale, CPG, or inventory-heavy businesses preferred.

Familiarity with multi-jurisdiction tax or alcohol distribution.
