About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for Credit Operations and Adjudication. This executive role is pivotal in leading the organization's credit operations and adjudication function across various lending sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing executive leadership over credit operations, adjudication, and overall portfolio quality. This includes overseeing credit adjudication in retail, residential mortgage, and commercial sectors, as well as establishing and maintaining credit policies, lending standards, risk parameters, and approval authorities. The VP will also be tasked with monitoring portfolio performance, leading collections and credit operations activities, and partnering with business leaders to ensure responsible lending growth while upholding robust credit discipline.
Applicants for the Vice President position must have a minimum of 10 years' progressive lending and credit experience, with a strong background in commercial and residential credit. Senior leadership experience within a regulated financial institution is essential, and previous experience in a credit union setting is highly valued. The role requires a candidate who can provide oversight of complex and higher-risk credit decisions, and who is adept at leading and developing a credit team. The VP will be expected to strengthen processes, controls, and overall adjudication practices, as well as provide reporting and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board. The position demands a strategic leader with a deep understanding of credit operations and a proven track record in the field.
