Make a difference at YWCA Hamilton as an Early Childhood Assistant in Dunnville, Ontario. This temporary role provides a nurturing environment for young children and involves active participation in their learning.
We're seeking one motivated Early Childhood Assistant to work 29 hours per week, following a split shift schedule. You will assist in the daily operation of a licensed child care center, working collaboratively to develop and implement age-appropriate programs for children aged birth to 12 years. Your role will include engaging with children, planning innovative activities, and ensuring a protected environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support daily operations and activities at the child care center • Create nurturing and stimulating learning environments • Collaborate with RECE team to design and implement programs • Communicate positively with families and community partners • Capture and document children’s development and progress
Requirements: • High School diploma and 2 years’ experience in child care • Strong knowledge of early years programs • Valid Vulnerable Sector Police check required • Standard First Aid and CPR certification beneficial • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
