Become an essential player at Rona! In this active role, you'll work in a stimulating environment where you'll handle specialized equipment to ensure accurate and secure loading of merchandise. Contribute directly to the fluidity of our operations by maintaining package integrity and optimizing space utilization.
THIS IS A 3 MONTH CONTRACT POSITION WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF RENEWAL BASED ON THE NEEDS OF THE BUSINESS.
Your role: Safely load and secure customer goods on outbound trailers
Drive and operate material handling equipment (stand-up forklift) with fork and/or clamp attachment
Hand wrap pallets for loading
Ensure accuracy and integrity of shipments
Complete and maintain all necessary paperwork
Provide and uphold a safe working environment
Stack products safely and securely to lessen the number of skids or clampable sections
Perform all other related tasks
What we're looking for: Experience with a stand-up forklift an asset
Ability to work as part of a team, including training others
Excellent customer service skills
Experience with barcode scanners an asset
Excellent listening, communication and organizational skills
Time management and problem-solving skills
Ability to perform tasks involving stretching, bending, lifting and carrying medium to heavy products
