Become a vital part of Northview as a Biomass Millwright in Yellowknife, NT, where you'll support essential biomass energy systems and mechanical operations. This position offers hands-on troubleshooting for renewable energy projects.
In this role, you will report to the Regional Manager, working closely with a senior biomass technician. Your responsibilities will include installation, maintenance, and repair of biomass pellet boiler systems. Your background in industrial mechanics will help you conduct preventative maintenance, align components, and manage mechanical setups effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support installation and commissioning of boiler systems
• Execute preventative and corrective maintenance tasks
• Align and maintain motors, conveyors, and other equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and perform basic welding
• Document service records and comply with safety procedures
Requirements:
• Red Seal Millwright certification or active apprenticeship
• Relevant experience in mechanical maintenance
• Familiarity with material handling systems
• Valid driver's license; class 3 considered an asset
• Solid attention to detail and quality workmanship
