Elevate safety standards at the Township of Oro-Medonte as a full time Human Resources Safety Coordinator. Oversee wellness programs and drive recruitment to ensure a secure workplace.

Working under the Director of People and Culture, this role emphasizes the coordination of safety and wellness initiatives. You’ll manage the recruitment cycle, organize safety committee tasks, and conduct program audits. Your contribution will be key in fostering a culture of safety and inclusion while ensuring compliance with health legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute Community of Belonging and Wellness initiatives
• Manage full-cycle recruitment including background checks
• Facilitate Joint Health and Safety Committee sessions




• Conduct annual audits and develop safety procedures
• Track safety certifications and compliance documentation

Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in relevant fields
• Relevant degree/diploma in HR, Labour Relations, or Safety
• CHRP/CHRL and/or CRSP is an asset
• Excellent project management and facilitation skills
• Clean Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Background Check
