Make a difference with Native Child and Family Services of Toronto as a Child and Family Wellbeing Worker in a hybrid work model. Engage with the Indigenous community to support families and children.
This regular full time position requires a B.S.W. or related degree and at least two years of relevant experience in child and family wellbeing. You will conduct assessments, coordinate services, and advocate for children within the Toronto Indigenous community. Your role is vital in fostering relationships and ensuring culturally appropriate support for families in crisis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform Immediate Response and children's services functions
• Conduct investigations on the immediate safety of children
• Develop relationships to assess strengths and needs
• Participate in consultations and case conferences
• Coordinate and advocate for timely services
Requirements:
• B.S.W. or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum two years in a Child and Family Wellbeing context
• Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle
• Extensive knowledge of Indigenous culture
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
Support Indigenous families in Toronto with a focus on holistic, culturally relevant care.
