Join the Vancouver School Board as an Alternate Format Production Technician at the Provincial Resource Centre for the Visually Impaired. This role is dedicated to enhancing educational resources for students with visual impairments.
You will work in person at our Vancouver location, focusing on producing digital materials and accessible learning resources. This role includes collaborating on webinars and creating physical models that support learning. Your contributions will make a significant impact on student accessibility and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create digital alternate format materials from hard copies
• Collaborate in producing webinars for career development
• Proofread and revise materials for accuracy
• Support the creation of tactile 3D models
• Provide resources and technical support
Requirements:
• Completed grade 12 plus 2 years of post-secondary education
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of PDF, EPUB, and e-Text formats
• Experience with Python coding and STEM content
• Ability to lift heavy materials up to 10 kg
