As a Registered Nurse in the PACU, you will play a vital role in patient recovery at Humber River Health in North West Toronto. Your responsibilities include managing pain and airway for postoperative patients, monitoring vital signs, and employing computerized documentation systems. This role offers the chance to foster a supportive care setting that emphasizes continual improvement in healthcare practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver patient care in the immediate post-operative phase
• Implement advanced airway and pain management protocols
• Manage care for patients recovering from various anesthesia types
• Use computerized systems for patient care documentation
• Support the needs of ventilated patients during recovery
Requirements:
• RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario must be current
• BCLS certification necessary upon hire
• PACU certification to be achieved within 6 months
• Need for Critical Care or Emergency Nursing certification
• At least 1 year of Critical Care or Emergency experience required
