Become a Family Keeper with Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug and support families in community-focused programs. This full time role aims for healthier relationships and holistic wellbeing.
In the Family Keeper position, you will work directly with awaashishag and oshkaadizag, ensuring they meet their physical, mental, and emotional needs through comprehensive support. Your work directly contributes to family reunification efforts and the culture of care rooted in traditional teachings. Regular visits to assigned families and meticulous management of case files are essential components of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Approach work with compassion and professionalism
• Engage family members to foster supportive relationships
• Implement MDK principles in care planning
• Facilitate case file transfers between agencies
• Connect families to necessary resources and services
Requirements:
• 2+ years in relevant child and family programs
• Completion of high school and/or related diploma
• Understanding of KIDO Mission and Service Model
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to travel for work-related needs
