Shape student literacy as a Literacy Coach in the Nicola-Similkameen School District. This part time Learning Enhancement Teacher role emphasizes the use of Fountas and Pinnell intervention kits across K-12 schools.

Temp position for 0.40 FTE from September 8, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Work alongside classroom teachers and administrators to support diverse learning needs. Duties include planning instruction, co-teaching, and modeling best practices in classroom management and student assessment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Guide teachers in implementing literacy interventions
• Collaborate in instructional planning and co-teaching
• Model effective classroom and assessment strategies
• Support IEP goal implementation for students
• Provide reports and updates on student learning

Requirements:
• Experience in literacy development for all grade levels
• Familiarity with Fountas and Pinnell intervention kits
• Valid BC Teaching Certificate mandatory
• Understanding of BC Curriculum required
• Must hold a teaching category of five or higher
