GFL Ottawa is hiring dedicated individuals for the role of Waste Management Technician. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and processing hazardous and non-hazardous waste, alongside collecting samples for analysis. You will contribute to maintaining compliance with waste management regulations and provide superior customer service at collection events.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage shipments of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
• Conduct sampling from vehicles and containers
• Ensure waste processing adheres to acceptance protocols
• Complete and submit necessary paperwork accurately
• Attend waste collection events for identification and classification
Requirements:
• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or equivalent
• Experience in hazardous waste management preferred
• Motivated and capable of multi-tasking
• Detail-oriented with a focus on safety
• Valid G class Driver's license necessary
