This role within the Interprofessional Practice and Learning team focuses on providing critical education and research support in library services. The Librarian Educator will spearhead outreach and training initiatives and manage access to a variety of clinical, educational, and administrative resources crucial for effective healthcare delivery. Reporting to the Manager of Library Services, this position plays a vital role in influencing the educational landscape in Nova Scotia’s healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct educational outreach and training sessions
• Manage knowledge resources and collections
• Facilitate research support for healthcare professionals
• Implement evidence-based practices and library programs
• Collaborate on research methodologies and resource management
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Library and Information Services required
• Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant library experience
• Familiarity with medical research library tools essential
• Strong skills in subject analysis and user training
• Commitment to ongoing professional development required
