In this role, you will assess residents, develop treatment plans, and implement necessary interventions focusing on self-care and leisure activities. By collaborating with families and care teams, you will ensure each resident receives personalized attention tailored to their rehabilitation or palliative care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments of physical, cognitive, and functional needs
• Create and evaluate ongoing therapy programs
• Maintain detailed clinical records for residents
• Instruct staff on safety and ergonomic practices
• Participate in quality monitoring and committees
Requirements:
• Baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy
• Registration with the College of Occupational Therapy of BC
• At least two years in a long-term care workplace
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Skills in organizing work and educating staff
