Lead transformative initiatives as the Director of Child, Youth and Family Services at Southern Chiefs' Organization in Winnipeg. Champion the rights and wellbeing of First Nations families and youth.
In this senior role, you will report to the Executive Director of Operations while implementing policies that resonate with First Nations values. Your leadership will target systemic reforms in child welfare and family services, creating pathways for cutting-edge governance and community engagement. Collaborate with various stakeholding agencies to improve service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive systemic changes in child welfare services
• Lead research and policy development efforts
• Manage a diverse portfolio of family and youth programs
• Foster partnerships with Indigenous knowledge holders
• Evaluate programs to support long-term community impacts
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in Social Sciences or similar
• 7–10 years of leadership in social services fields
• Understanding of colonial impacts on Indigenous communities
• Experience with child welfare legislation and funding
• Ability to communicate in Anishinaabe or Dakota is beneficial
