The Comox Valley Public Health Unit is seeking a Public Health Nurse in Courtenay, BC to enhance community health through education and disease prevention. This role involves casual work with flexible schedule.

In this Public Health Nurse position, you will provide essential services that focus on health promotion and community well-being. Your duties will include assessment and counseling tailored to children, youth, and families in various environments like schools and homes. Upholding quality and safety standards is essential as part of the Island Health team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver health promotion and disease prevention programs
• Conduct community assessments and deliver counseling
• Engage with families and groups for health education




• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure care quality
• Travel to various locations based on service needs

Requirements:
• Graduation from recognized nursing program with public health focus
• Recent two years of related experience
• Practicing RN registration with BC College of Nurses
• Valid BC driver's license for position travel
• Completion of specific nursing certifications
