This full-time contract position requires a commitment to improving the lives of children and families within the Toronto Indigenous Community. Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and at least two years of relevant experience. Essential skills include crisis intervention, relationship building, and culturally appropriate advocacy for families in need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform immediate response interventions for children's safety
• Conduct assessments and investigations in crisis situations
• Develop supportive relationships with children and families
• Coordinate culturally appropriate services and advocate effectively
• Prepare for court hearings and generate necessary case documentation
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or similar field
• Minimum of 2 years related experience
• Valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
• Solid understanding of Indigenous history and culture
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
