Take on the role of Homelessness Prevention Intake/Diversion Worker with Haldimand & Norfolk Housing and Social Services in Simcoe, Ontario. Your focus will be on assessing and connecting families to essential support services.

This temporary full-time role requires you to be the initial contact for individuals at risk of homelessness. You'll leverage your skills to prevent homelessness and promote housing stability, thereby enhancing the quality of life for vulnerable community members. Primarily in-office duties may be combined with site work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Meet with individuals in need of housing assistance
• Evaluate needs and facilitate access to community resources
• Build relationships with local agencies to enhance services




• Maintain thorough documentation of client cases
• Provide ongoing support during follow-up assessments

Requirements:
• Background in social work or related field preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience in crisis intervention appreciated
• Must pass a Criminal Record Check
• Willingness to work flexible schedule as required
