Lead culturally grounded programming as the Cultural Program Coordinator for Gladue Pathways in Thompson, Manitoba. Your role is pivotal in fostering community healing through Indigenous teachings and traditions.
This full-time term position focuses on aligning programming with the diverse healing needs of the twenty-six northern Manitoba First Nations. Collaborate effectively with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and criminal justice partners to support reintegration and rehabilitation. Your mentorship will provide vital cultural insights to individuals and families involved in the justice system.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver culturally relevant programming based on Healing & Wellness Plans
• Facilitate traditional teachings, ceremonies, and cultural activities
• Develop community partnerships and identify service gaps
• Assist participants in accessing community services
• Participate in case planning and ongoing career development
Requirements:
• Extensive knowledge of Indigenous cultures and practices
• Proven experience in facilitating community engagement
• Robust interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of restorative justice principles
• Flexibility to travel and work varied hours
