We are searching for a detail-oriented Mill Stores Purchaser to support procurement for our Meadow Lake operations, contributing to both Alberta and Saskatchewan regions. This role involves managing large inventories, ensuring accuracy, and working with various teams to enhance operational efficiency. Candidates should possess strong negotiation skills and a background in inventory maintenance and purchasing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct buying activities for inventory and non-inventory
• Maintain accuracy of materials and operating supplies inventory
• Build supplier relationships to negotiate fair pricing
• Drive the 100% cycle counting program for the division
• Work collaboratively with planning and maintenance teams
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years experience in inventory management
• Relevant certification in Supply Chain Management
• Deep understanding of manufacturing operations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Forklift experience preferred or open to training
