In this critical role, you will be part of the Indigenous Health Patient Experience team. Your work will focus on improving navigation and support for First Nations, Metis, and Inuit individuals, ensuring that care delivery is respectful of cultural traditions and needs. Your understanding of community partnerships will be essential to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate navigation through the healthcare system for Indigenous clients
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure culturally protected service
• Promote and provide access to traditional health resources
• Address client concerns by acting as a liaison to healthcare providers
• Engage with Indigenous agencies for coordinated care
Requirements:
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in Indigenous health
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or similar field
• Proven understanding of historical context affecting Indigenous health
• Skills in Trauma Informed and Strengths-based care
• Effective communication skills for diverse populations
