In this position, you'll leverage your technical expertise to conduct inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial structures. You will review construction drawings, provide insightful guidance, and ensure all infractions are rectified. Solid communication skills are essential for maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive code compliance inspections
• Review and approve plumbing and gas construction drawings
• Enforce the Safety Codes Act and related regulations
• Generate detailed reports on inspection findings
• Contribute to workplace safety initiatives and audits
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or GED
• 5 years Journeyman experience in plumbing and gas
• Registration as a Safety Codes Officer in Alberta
• Successful Criminal Record Check required
• Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License and abstract needed
