NTPC is seeking an Electric Powerline Technician based in Fort Smith, NT, for hands-on construction and maintenance of electrical transmission systems. Relocation assistance is available for this key role.

In this Journeyperson level position, your role will involve maintaining and troubleshooting power distribution lines and systems ranging from 5kv to 138kv. You will support various service areas throughout the Northwest Territories, emphasizing customer service through meter reading and installation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain transmission and distribution lines and equipment
• Conduct repairs and troubleshooting on electrical systems
• Perform routine meter readings and installations for customers
• Select suitable transformers and conductors for upgrades
• Conduct tests on power transformers and breakers

Requirements:
• Certification as a Journeyperson Power Lineperson essential
• At least five years of experience in power distribution
• Class 3 driver's license required
• Familiar with equipment testing procedures
• Criminal record check must be satisfactory
