SRK Consulting invites applications for a Junior Geotechnical/Rock Mechanics Engineer role, perfect for candidates eager to engage in both North American and international mining projects. This position requires a combination of site work and expertise in rock mechanics principles.

In this role, you will actively support geotechnical characterization efforts while working in cooperative teams on various project stages—conceptual, design, and closure phases. Your contributions will involve both surface and underground design considerations, helping to shape the future of projects alongside seasoned consultants.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform geotechnical site assessments and characterization
• Work on rock mechanics applications for mine design




• Engage in logging and mapping responsibilities
• Communicate with multi-disciplinary teams effectively
• Participate in international travel for project support

Requirements:
• 1-3 years of experience in geotechnics
• Experience with rock mass assessment preferred
• Basic skills in geological modelling tools
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Ability to relocate to Vancouver is necessary
