The City of Winnipeg is seeking a Land Drainage and Flood Protection Project Engineer. Drive successful flood protection initiatives while managing key engineering projects.
As a vital part of the Engineering Services in the Water and Waste Department, you will handle the execution and administration of capital projects aimed at reducing flood risks. This role involves collaborating with various departments to analyze and mitigate annual flood threats, ensuring community safety and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead project coordination for flood protection initiatives
• Approve flood protection permit applications and requirements
• Analyze data and conduct field investigations for flood risks
• Deliver engineering solutions for new facility constructions
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and external services
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is mandatory
• At least 4 years of relevant project management experience
• Proficient in engineering report writing and planning
• Solid knowledge of flood protection engineering principles
