RoleSenior Leadership Operations position responsible for Inbound and Outbound Warehouse; Fleet Services; Facilities Management (including building, grounds, power industrial equipment, sanitation, security), Transportation (including routing, delivery, and backhaul); Operations Systems and related third party providers.CompensationSalary Range: $93,500 - $175,400Role ResponsibilitiesAchieving performance key metricsevaluates fiscal metrics and adjusts activities to meet or exceed performance expectations Expense and revenue managementConducts audits ensuring all required inspections and documentation are completed accurately (including, but not limited to, food safety documentation, MOT records, EPSM, PSM, etc.) and retained to ensure a minimum potential for lossStrategic execution of local and corporate initiativesBudgeting, forecasting, compliance with government regulationsSafety and security of the building, its contents and peopleManagement and direction of staff – maintains associate relations through regular department meetings; maintains on-going interaction; keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures; monitors associate morale; and implements or responds to ideas to improve associate engagement and enablementInterprets trains and consistently enforces Company policies and procedures; Ensures compliance withall Insurance Pooling requirements; with local, federal andprovincial regulatory agencies (i.E. OHS, MOT, FDA, USDA, DOL, etc.); with licensing and log book requirements and with food safety policies, protocols and requirementsMonitors the condition and maintenance of the warehouse, fleet services, equipment, software, ammonia refrigeration system, HVAC systems, fire protection, and office by ensuring that all are kept consistent with the safety, security, sanitation and appearance standards set by Sysco in an effort to reduce or eliminate operations-related injuries or accidents, damage/loss of product or equipment,
and unnecessary costsEnsures contingency systems/practices/protocols are in place to eliminate business disruption; Oversees emergency response or crisis management activitiesDevelops and maintains liaisons with local emergency management and other entities in order to facilitate plan development and response effort coordinationAssists Safety Manager with training initiatives; Evaluates and ensures the appropriate use and updating of all department software systemsResponsible for the wholesome, accurate, productive, fiscally responsible daily work and safety of Inbound and Outbound Warehouse, Transportation (Delivery), Fleet Services and Facilities.Accountable for the accuracy of timecards, approvals and scheduling of direct reportsComplies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are metUnderstand[s] the economic and cultural value that a safe organization with minimal environmental impact brings to an organizationIs willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by providing necessary resources and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirementsEnable, champion and embrace an inclusive culturePerform other duties as assigned.Qualifications / Skills / Job Requirements5 years Operations distribution management experienceBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Managerial Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a closely related field required; or equivalent combination of education and related experienceExposure/familiarity to Lean Six Sigma environment is an assetProficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OutlookSound knowledge of the Occupation Health and Safety ActThe associate works non-traditional business hours including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and on‐callValid driver's license in good standing with access to a vehicle is requiredSysco is committed to Employment Equity.Accommodations during the recruitment process are available upon request for candidates with disabilities.At Sysco,
