Join the University of Toronto Mississauga as a Sessional Instructional Assistant for forensic chemistry. This role involves engaging with students through in-person lectures and practicals every week.
The role is designed for an experienced individual with a Master’s degree in Forensic Science or Chemistry, complemented by prior teaching experience. You will facilitate learning through diverse activities, focusing on evidentiary analysis techniques critical in forensic contexts. Collaboration with students and faculty is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise practical sessions with students
• Deliver engaging laboratory demonstrations effectively
• Manage course materials on the Quercus platform
• Coordinate and invigilate tests and assessments
• Provide office hours for student support and inquiries
Requirements:
• Completed or in-progress Master’s degree in relevant field
• Significant background in forensic chemistry coursework
• Prior TA/SIA experience in educational settings
• Robust knowledge of analytical instrumentation
• Preference given to UTM students with relevant experience
