Reporting to the Chief Crown Attorney, the successful candidate will engage in the prosecution of various criminal cases. A deep understanding of criminal law and court procedures is essential, with a mandatory one year of litigation experience. Your role will include advising law enforcement and maintaining a fair prosecution process.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prosecute criminal charges following law enforcement investigations
• Provide legal advice to law enforcement agencies
• Conduct proceedings in Provincial or Superior Court




• Follow directives from the Chief Crown Attorney
• Travel frequently within the region for court coverage

Requirements:
• Active member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society or eligible
• One year of criminal litigation experience required
• Solid grasp of criminal law fundamentals
• Ability to travel for extended periods
• Current Certificate of Standing required
