Weare seeking a candidate that is proficient in project management,hydrologic/watershed analysis and modelling, hydraulic structuremodelling, and design. The candidate would ideally have client liaison experience and be proficient in preparing technical memos and reports.
The successful candidate’s duties will include participating in undertaking dam safety reviews, annualdam safety inspections, dam breach, inundation and consequenceclassification assessments, preparation of dam emergency plans,preparation of design of appurtenant hydraulic structures, and hydrology and numerical flow modelling. Travel throughout British Columbia and Yukon may be required in this position.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Water Resource Engineering (minimum)
Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience
Knowledge of Canadian Dam Safety Guidelines, Associated Technical Bulletins, and the BC Dam Safety Regulations
Knowledge of standard computer hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software packages such as RMC-BestFit, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8, FLO-2D
Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Qualified Engineer (P.Eng.) in BC
Strong technical writing, communication, and project coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision
Previous project management experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Strong work ethic with a drive to excel and deliver high‑quality work
Effective communicator with excellent oral and written skills
Able to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment
Supplementary Skills:
Previous experience participating in dam safety reviews
Familiarity with the BC Extreme Flood Project guidance documents
Familiarity with the EGBC Professional Practice Guideline Legislated Dam Safety Reviews in BC
Familiarity with geotechnical and/or structural aspects of dam safety
Familiaritywith environmental permitting, legislation and regulations includingthe Riparian Area Regulation and the Water Sustainability Act
Experience with taking projects from proposal stage through conceptual design, detailed design, and construction
Knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code and the BC Supplement to TAC Geometric Design Guide
