The West Vancouver Community Services Department is looking for a motivated Youth Outreach Worker for a temporary, full-time position. You will deliver preventative services while engaging with youth and fostering their development in personal, social, and leadership capacities. The role requires responding to their needs within various community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop relationships with youth in imminent risk
• Conduct outreach to engage youth in the community
• Apply critical thinking to support youth in crises
• Facilitate activities in drop-in Youth Services
• Coordinate and supervise outreach programs and events
Requirements:
• University degree or diploma in a related field
• At least two years working with youth, ideally in outreach
• Valid Emergency First Aid and CPR certification
• Class 4 BC Driver's License required
• Training in mental health and addictions is beneficial
