Elevate nursing care as a Clinical Nurse Leader with Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council, based in Port Alberni. Leverage your expertise to guide a team in delivering culturally safe patient care.
In this permanent, full time position, you will bring your graduate-level nursing degree and at least 10 years of experience with First Nations into the role. You'll provide guidance, mentorship, and support in accordance with NTC Nursing Policies within a culturally rich framework. Travel is required to various regions across Vancouver Island, utilizing multiple modes of transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor nursing staff in evidence-based practices
• Uphold BCCNM standards through ongoing support
• Foster cultural safety in nursing practice
• Collaborate with Child & Youth and Mental Health teams
• Maintain thorough documentation of care
Requirements:
• Graduate-level Degree in Nursing with 10+ years experience
• Valid license with BCCNM
• Demonstrated ability to lead nursing professionals
• Familiarity with Home Care and Communicable Disease Programs
• Requires a car for travel
