At PwC, our CPA Centre of Excellence (CoE) focuses on managing the full lifecycle of CPA designation support for staff and partners, guiding them through complex program requirements and providing ongoing advice, resources and support throughout their CPA journey. As a manager on this team, you will work with subject matter experts and project teams to shape the future CPA Program, design effective support initiatives, and enhance the experience and success of our people. This role requires a Canadian CPA designation and provides high visibility with PwC leadership and regulators.
The Opportunity As a CPA Program Manager, unlock your potential and embrace the chance to drive meaningful outcomes that’ll elevate your career. Your role will include, but isn’t limited to:
Key Operational Responsibilities Leading the design, delivery and implementation of the firm’s national CFE in-house training program and support framework for CPA candidates
Collaborating with external instructors to shape and enhance the formal training program
Creating supplementary learning resources, presentations, and guidance on program policies
Managing relationships with external markers and instructors for English and French programs, including budget oversight, program changes and feedback delivery
Developing mentorship programs and organizing mock exams sessions supporting a strong mentorship culture
Communicating exam results and analysis to leadership to support program strategy and execution
Developing and updating process documentations and preparing and delivering change management communications and presentations
Building and maintaining strong relationships with HC teams, Firm leaders, and key contacts, including CPA regulatory provincial bodies
Executing and reviewing work across other CPA processes, including practical experience reporting, module and student registration, fee payments, and special reporting projects
Representing CPA CoE on committees, workstreams and at recruiting events, while contributing expertise, fostering stakeholder relationships, and supporting key firm initiatives
Coaching and development of team members
Transformational Responsibilities - The New CPA Professional Program Participating in CPA provincial body working groups for the new CPA Professional Program,



providing feedback and recommendations to support program development and execution
Scoping the design of the future internal education and examination support program
Developing and implementing new firm programs, policies, and processes to support the transition to and delivery of the new CPA Professional Program
Presenting program design and policy recommendations to leadership to support informed decision-making and strategic objectives
Evaluating technology solutions to support the efficient implementation, delivery, and ongoing administration of the new CPA Professional Program
What You’ll Bring Canadian CPA designation with relevant experience in a professional services role
Knowledge of the Canadian CPA programs and must have written the Common Final Examination (CFE)
Passion for counselling and providing guidance to CPA students
Demonstrated ability to build and manage trusting relationships with key leaders and internal business partners with a commitment to exceptional client service
Excellent project management and prioritization skills in managing multiple deadlines and complex projects. Able to move effortlessly between strategic topics and day-to-day activities.
Strong stakeholder management and advisory skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, collaborate with senior leaders, and translate business needs into firm-wide CPA strategies and ensure successful outcomes
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to assess situations strategically, navigate new and changing situations, and develop a collaborative approach
Fast learner, strong technical skills, and open to implementing next generation skills (process automation, people/data analytics, Generative AI, and other digital skills)
Open to recent ways of doing things and continuous improvement
This position ensures continuity and upholds our standards of excellence following the departure of a valued team member.
The salary range for this position is $84,800 - $134,800.



The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
