Join Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences as a Recreation Therapist focusing on forensic patients. You'll develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs that foster recovery and rehabilitation.

This position entails working within the Forensic Rehabilitation Unit, where you will use your expertise in therapeutic recreation to assess and tailor programs specific to patients with complex mental illnesses. As an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, you’ll play a crucial role in enhancing patients' quality of life through individualized and group activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and implement therapeutic recreation programs
• Develop recovery-focused leisure education initiatives




• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team
• Evaluate patient progress and program effectiveness
• Assist in treatment for both forensic and non-forensic clients

Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in Therapeutic Recreation
• Minimum 2 years related experience
• Current TRO membership required
• Knowledge of mental illness treatment practices
• Valid driver’s license and CPR Level HCP certification
