Focus Systems is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Security Consultant (1902) to support cybersecurity architecture and infrastructure renewal initiatives within a complex public-sector environment.
If you have strong experience in information technology architecture, solutions design, infrastructure security, security risk reduction, and enterprise modernization, this is an exciting opportunity to help protect critical information systems as technology environments are redesigned, renewed, and modernized.
Contract: Anticipated start October 1, 2026 ; initial one-year term, with up to two additional one-year extensions or until project completion

Work Arrangement: On-site ; required on an as-needed basis , up to full-time hours
Role Overview
The Infrastructure Security Consultant (1902) will support the reduction of security risk across critical government information systems as technology environments are redesigned, renewed, and modernized.
The successful consultant will provide cybersecurity leadership and architecture support for critical infrastructure renewal, cybersecurity maturity initiatives, customer initiatives requiring security oversight, and the retirement of legacy environments. The role requires robust information technology architecture, solutions design, and cybersecurity expertise within complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the cybersecurity aspects of upgrades and renewals for critical Information Technology environments
Participate in and support cybersecurity maturity program activities
Provide cybersecurity oversight and guidance for customer and business initiatives
Support the retirement and transition of legacy technology environments
Provide security architecture and infrastructure renewal advisory services
Assess security risks and recommend practical actions to reduce exposure across critical systems
Support solution architecture and Information Technology design activities with a cybersecurity focus
Collaborate with technical, architecture, infrastructure, privacy, risk, and business stakeholders
Provide information security advice and guidance to business and technical teams
Support threat and vulnerability evaluation activities
Contribute to security architecture, infrastructure renewal, and other cybersecurity initiatives assigned by the Cybersecurity and Risk Management Branch
Mandatory Qualifications
Demonstrated full-time experience in an Information Technology-related field
Demonstrated experience with solutions architecture and/or Information Technology design
Demonstrated working experience performing Information Technology Architecture responsibilities
Ability to work in office in Regina, Saskatchewan , as required

Ability to manage multiple priorities in complex enterprise environments
Preferred Experience & Assets
Cybersecurity maturity programs and strategic security roadmaps
Security oversight for business and technology initiatives
Legacy infrastructure retirement and transition planning
Experience in complex enterprise or public-sector Information Technology environments
Cross-functional collaboration with infrastructure, architecture, privacy, risk, and business teams
Relevant cybersecurity, security architecture, cloud, infrastructure, or enterprise architecture certifications
