In the role of Customary Care Worker, you will report to the Post Majority & Family Community Preservation Director. Your responsibilities include assessing customary care homes and developing family permanency strategies while collaborating with various community partners. This position aims to support the holistic development of children and families, ensuring adherence to cultural values and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess potential customary care homes effectively
• Advocate for children and families' access to services
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation
• Prepare legal documents and reports as required
• Develop and maintain solid community partnerships
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in child services
• Proficient in case planning and risk assessment
• Understanding of Indigenous welfare policies
• Class 5 Driver's License and clean record
• Police Information Check required upon hire
