Northern Health seeks a Mental Health Social Worker to support clients in Dawson Creek’s Opiod Services department. Bring your passion for helping others and expertise in mental health interventions to our team.
In this role, you will work closely with clients facing substance use issues, delivering targeted assessments and individualized treatment plans. Under the supervision of the Team Lead, you will employ a harm reduction approach while collaborating with a dedicated interdisciplinary team. Your proactive outreach efforts will be essential as you support both individuals and their families during recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and develop tailored intervention plans
• Implement harm reduction tactics in client interactions
• Provide outreach and referral services for clients
• Collaborate on treatment plans with healthcare teams
• Document assessments and interventions comprehensively
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work
• Two years of experience in mental health.
• Active registration with BC College of Social Workers
• Valid BC Driver's License
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
