Lead community-focused social services with the Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ Government in Hitacu, BC. This managerial position involves supervision of outreach programs, restorative justice, and kitchen services.
In the role of Manager of Social Services, you will direct the planning and evaluation of community outreach, advocacy, and food programs. Reporting to the Director of Health & Social Services, you manage staff and ensure responsive, culturally safe services for residents of Hitacu, Ucluelet, and Port Alberni. You will identify service gaps and implement current initiatives to strengthen community connections.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct community social service initiatives and evaluations
• Supervise restorative justice and diversion efforts
• Oversee food service operations in the Cixʷatin Centre
• Lead the outreach and justice worker team
• Build relationships with inter-agency partners
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field
• 5 years in social services with supervisory experience
• Proven experience in culturally informed Indigenous service
• BC Class 5 Driver’s License required
• Complete Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector
